Beginners’ Course

The beginners course is open to children aged 13 and above, couples, individuals, and family groups wanting to try something different. No previous experience is necessary. There is no age limit or disability that cannot do archery, all are welcome.

The course runs over 5 weeks and consists of 4 training sessions on a Saturday and then you will be invited to the club session on a Sunday for the 5th session. Each session is approximately 2 hrs long (the club session is usually longer). The course cost is £65, this includes an Archery GB beginners book which gives you a good foundation to start you off in archery and is a great reference guide. You will also receive a stretchy band to practice at home between sessions to get your form right and exercise the muscles you have never used before. Please do not sent money now.

Once we receive your enrollment form and the dates are confirmed, you will be sent an invitation letter and a deposit of £30 will be required to book your place. If we do not hear from you by a certain date and have not received your deposit your space will be given to someone else.

We run 2 courses per year, one starts around March/April – when the weather gets warm and another starts around September/October before the weather gets too cold.
